I think Duel is a fantastic movie that showcases Steven Spielberg's early talent as a director. The film's simple premise of a man being terrorized by a mysterious truck driver on a remote highway is executed with intense suspense and tension. The way Spielberg builds the tension and creates a sense of claustrophobia within the vast open spaces of the highway is masterful. The movie is a great example of how Spielberg can create a thrilling and engaging story with minimal dialogue and a small cast. **
